Natural Bridges Monarch Trail
After leaving the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on Saturday morning, you can visit the nearby Natural Bridges Monarch Trail, which is only 3 miles away. This is where the Monarch butterflies arrive in October. You may not be able to see butterflies because it’s not the season, but the noteworthy aspect of this place is the volunteer guides. They help explain the intricate details of the monarchs—why they migrate and why they come to Santa Cruz. Their effort is commendable and deserves praise.
